Yes, they show up as opaque on craft an...Hey, girl! Yes, they show up as opaque on craft and black cardstock! They are water soluable pencils... like watercolor pencils on steriods! When you add water it actually turns into an ink and intensifies the color (on white cardstock) but will blend out softer on craft and black cardstocks. I like to color in layers just so I can gain back some of that intense color. Once dried it becomes permanent. They say it can be used on fabric as well but I've never tried.
