Flower Basket Card

Hello Crafty Friends!!
I am so excited to finally be sharing the first of (what I'm hoping to be) many projects featuring brand new soon to be released dies from Eileen Hull Designs and Sizzix! These dies are part of Eileen's new Heartfelt Collection that debuted at Creativation 2017!

Supplies Used
Eileen Hull's Stitchy Flowers & Leaf (Sizzix)
Eileen Hull's Basket (Sizzix)
Stephanie Barnard's Scallop w/ Greetings Drop-Ins (Sizzix)
Stephanie Barnard's Tags (Sizzix)
Leaves (Prima)
VersaFine Onyx Black Ink (Imagine Crafts/ Tsukineko)
Hemp Twine
Brads

For this project I used Eileen Hull's Basket die. This die was made to make a three dimension basket favor/ box. But , as you can see, I used it to make a great focal point as the focal point of my card front.
Traditionally, you would cut out two sets of  your material to make a complete box. In this instance, I only used one set. I only used one front panel and one of the handle pieces (I snipped at the crease lines to make two handles).

I covered with patterned paper and inked the edges.

Then fastened handles with brads.
To accent my basket, I used the new Stitchy Flowers & Leaf Dies. I like to cut out several flowers at a time in different sizes. Sometimes I'm not sure how full I want each bloom to be.  So I always make it a habit to cut out more than I need.

I inked the all the edges so I don't see the white core of my paper and to add depth to the flower.

I add more depth and texture by shaping the petals then layering together and fastening with a brad.

For my card base I used the Scallop w/ Greeting Drop-In Die . This die come with a top mat with lacy eyelet holes. I ran a piece of craft foam through my Creative Station Lite and adhered it under the craft mat and then mounted it onto the card base.

I attached my basket onto the card then attached the flowers I made earlier on top of the basket using clear liquid adhesive.

I added leaves and hemp twine bow under the flowers.

Then, I made a little tag that says "for you" and attached it to the front of the card to make it resemble a little flower arrangement gift basket.

Now this may not replace a real flower arrangement but at least they don't have to worry about watering it either! LOL

I hope this card gives you tons of ideas on how to use some of your favorite craft dies in a new way and think outside of the box every!

HAPPY CRAFTING EVERYONE!!

Cutterbee Scissors (EK Success)
3D Dots (EK Success)
Jeweled Brads ( Recollections)
Hemp Twine

I started off by cutting my TC paper into 2- 6"x12" pieces.

Then I used my basket die and cut both sheets at the same time by running it through my Cit'n'boss machine. To use steel rule dies in my Cut'n'boss I used the following sandwich combination:

A PLATE
DIE
PAPER
A PLATE

I folded both panels on the creases.

I used my Xyron Mega Runner to add adhesive to the front of one panel.

I took the remaining panel and place it over the adhesive, being very careful to line the up with one another.

I gathered the flap on one side so that the hole lined up with the next. I inserted a brad through the holes. Then inserted the brad through the hole in the handle panel and attached the handle to the basket. I repeated this process to the other side.

Please note that this basket calls for the use of one handle... but since I had to cut the panel twice it also cut out 2 handles. As a result, I decided to go ahead and use them both.

I used my scissors to cut out a card from the Teresa Collins "Cards" paper. Then used my Marvy Uchida Mega Scallop Circle Punch to cut out the pattern in the center.

I used the small flower and leaf stem does from the Teresa Collins "Thankful " set to cut 2 leaves and four flowers.

I stacked my flowers together and using my Crop-A-Dile I punched a hole down the center. Then inserted a brad and fastened them together. Next, I bent all the petals upward to for more dimension. I also added foam adhesive under the flower to raise it up.

Then, I quickly ran my die cut leaves through my Xyron "X"...

then peeled and stuck them to my scalloped circle. Once the leaves were attached I peeled the backing of the foam adhesive of the flower I attached my flower.

Then I stamped my sentiment using Pink and Main's "Squeakheart" stamp set using Onyx Black Versafine ink.

Finally, I punched a hole up top, turning my scalloped circle into a tag and attached it to my basket using hemp twine. Then, filled it with paper shreds, and topped it off with lollipops.

And here is my finished treat box...
