eBrushed Monogrammed Coasters

Hello Crafty Friends... DT Mitsy here with another eBrush project!! I'm on a monogramming kick. I've always loved the way monograms dress everything up! Who knew one simple letter can make all the difference?! I especially love stuff that not only looks good but can be used. Sorry, this gal like nice thing but I'm practical... everything has to have a purpose.

So, I decided to make the monogrammed tile coasters....

Supplies Needed

Ebrush by Craftwell

Tile Coasters

Stencils

Shelf liner

Metallic Sharpies (Gold & Silver)

I pre-cut my shelf liner into 2.25" cirlces. I used my electric die cutter for this, it cut all four out at the same time which cut down my crafting tome down quite considerably. Way better than tracing and hand cutting. 

I then peeled of the protective backing and adhered the liner to the center of each tile. This will serve as a mask. I want the centers to remain clean so my monograms can stand out.

 You can buy stencils from your local craft store or opt to make your own.  Mine were homemade. Again, I used my electric die cutter to pre-make these ahead of time.

I then place my chevron stencil over the circle. If you need help holding down your stencil or are afraid the stencil will shift during spraying, just go over the back of your stencil with some repositionable adhesive. I used some my glue pen ... when it dries it becomes a repositionable adhesive.

I then ebrushed my stencil with my GOLD Sharpie. Gold is still all the rage and I know it'll mke my coasters look ultra chic!!

The great thing about "eBrushing"... virtully NO wait time!! The ink practically dries instantly! I simply removed my stencil and peeled off my circle....

AWESOME!!

I simply repeated the last step with my "W" stencil in the center of the circle with my SILVER Sharpie.

Removed the stencil and VOILA ... Fabulous monogrammed tile coasters...

These are for me but will make an awesome easy housewarming gift or hostess gift!

Look, I'm already putting them to good use and reaping the benefits of my hard work!! Now it's time to relax and enjoy!!

Pretty Monogrammed Tote

Hey there eBrushing fans... 

DT Mitsy here to bring you a quick way to transform a plain cooler bag  into a pretty prim insulated tote. 

 

I was inspired by a project that you may have seen on HSN during their live eBrush segment... It was a mini burlap tote made by my awesome DT sister Yolie Burke...

How stinkin' adorable is that??!! 

So I too made a tote... but not just a regular tote and not a mini one either!

But I did stick to her layout... Why mess with a good thing!!

Supplies Used

Cooler bag (Coleman)

eBrush

Steel Rule Flower Die ( Tim Holtz's Tattered Flowers- Sizzix)

White Tulle

Pink Ruffled Trim

Sharpie Markers ( Pink, Light Pink, Metallic-Silver)

needle & thread

Rhinstone Button

Contact Paper/ Shelf Liner

Digital/ Electronic Cutter

I started off by cutting my tulle. You can buy this at the local super store  for about 1 or 2 dollars. They come on a little roll 6 inches wide and contain several yards. I used my Tattered Flowers die to cut out flowers rom my tulle and because it's a steel rule die I can cut 20 layers layers through all at once.  

Then I stitched them all together, literally just a couple stitches through the center of the flower, making sure to alternated the petal in between each other. Then I  fluffed the petals to make a poof.

I then eBrushed my tulle flower with 2 different pink  sharpies. I first sprayed down a layer of light pink then dark pink toward the center.

I then attached a rhinestone button in the center and sewed onto the strap. I also sewed the pink ruffled trim along the edge of the outer pocket. 

Next, I cut a stencil using my Sizzix eclips and shelf liner paper. Because of it's adhesive backing it makes awesome stenciling material. My stencil is less likely to move which is extremely awesome because my surface isn't flat.

The font used for the monogram is called Egregio Script. It's a FREE font you can download for personal use only from dafont.com. I love this script it is very elegant and looks great as a monogram!

I then eBrushed my stencil with a metallic silver Sharpie.

I removed my stencil.... 

and...

AWESOME!!

Oh, it turned out so pretty!!

I was going to give this to one of my daughters but I may have to keep this one. I have two daughters and I wouldn't want them to fight over it!! LOL

I Moose You

Happy Saturday!! Just stopping in and sharing with you all a card I made for my bestie who lives in Hawaii. She she lives in Hawaii and I live in Texas.We literally live thousands of miles away... 3,845 miles to be exact... I know because I googled it! LOL

Being so far away, I often think of her. And crafting time is no exception. In fact it serves as inspiration most times. I translate those thoughts and feelings into little hugs she can hold in her hand. 

So here is my latest "HUG"... I hope she likes it!!

The moose I used in this card is from KaDoodle Bug Designs and is from their "I Moose-tache You" file. I ungrouped/ broke apart the file and didn't use the shadow piece. I modified the banner to 3 panels and made them say "BFF" insted of "LOVE". 

And, of course I used my eBrush machine to airbrush my paper pieces. The majority of the moose was cut from craft cardstock and eBrushed with a brown Sharpie. It's antlers, ears, and muzzle were from a Bazzill cardstock pack... I believe this was from the "Orange" family and was the lightest color of the batch. I ebrushed that with Spectrum Noir's TN1. The little bow and banner pieces were all eBrushed with a pink Sharpie.

For the "BFF" on the banner and the word "Moose" on the inside of the card I used the Coney Island font.  For the rest of the inside sentiment I used the A Gentle Touch font both are a FREE download and can be found on fontspace.com.

Hello again crafty friends!!! I hope you didn't forget that Valentine's Day is TOMORROW!! But just in case you did... I'm back again with a very last minute Valentine's Day card!

The cutting file I used to make this adorable dino is from KaDoodlebug Designs called

Cute Little Dino! But, bad news, if you are planning on buying this file you better hurry because KaDoodlebug Designs will be retiring this set (as well as others) as of February 15th, 2015... but wait, there is good news too... ALL RETIRING FILES ARE 90% OFF!!

And, right now they are having a Valentine's Day Sale... now till Monday the 15th. So, hurry and snatch them up before they're gone!

And it really does make cute little dinos! This little guy is just one of 4 different dinos that come in the set. It includes a t-rex, triceratops, brontosaurus, and of course stegosaurus!!! Plus a few extras to boot!!

These hearts and title were not included in the set. I got the hearts from the Sizzix eclips ecal library.

And these awesome fonts I used are fonts I had on my computer. The first one is called Cafe Rojo

and the other is called Jokerman. Both are available to download for FREE!

Poo Valentine

 WARNING: CRUDE HUMOR AHEAD!!

Ok, I admit I have a strange a slightly twisted sense of humor. And... I may add... I will not at all deny that I could not, for the life of me, stop laughing while I was creating this card!

I laughed while designing the sketch!

I laughed the entire time cutting it out!

I was ecstatic, elated, head over heals delighted as I was ebrushing the creases of my pile of POO!!

I was in tears of joy as I glued down my heart shaped flies and rising swirls of steam!

"Why", you ask? Because I made a card that perfectly sums up my feelings for my husband! It encompasses the very passion that sometimes is hard to express with mere words!!

Yup, nothing says it better than ... " I love the SH*T out of you"!

BAM!! THERE IT IS!

Yup nothing says it better! EXCEPT... a handmade card with an airbrushed steaming hot turd on the front!!

Cutting files used were from Designs on Cloud 9:

Warm Cocoa- for the pile-o-poop (whipped cream) and steam

Gumball Machine Valentines

Guess who has been a busy bee?! This gal, right here, that's who!!

I have been swamped neck deep in gumball machines!! And I love it!! 

Doing this project was like playing with toys... because let's face it... they are toys!!

I started with these gumball machines/ piggy banks I bought for $1 ea. at my local grocery store. They were pre-stuffed with gumballs... so "Yay!!" to no extra expense to fill them. I removed the manufacturer's label/tag but kept the silver elastic that the were tied to and recycled them. 

I made my own tags using my Sizzix eclips machine and ecal software. For the scalloped and stitched rectangle I used a cutting file called Little Love Notes by Designs on Cloud 9.

For the cut-out text I used the free cheri font with ecal's new stencil function over the "e" and "o". I didn't want to hand place each letter because I was going to be doing quite of few of these... that's just way too much work! I opted for my machine to do all the work instead.

And, then I added a little itty bitty heart (1/4") from the ecal library to the corner of each tag.

It's funny how just changing or adding one small thing can really dress it up!

Did I mention that these are my girl's Valentine treats for their classes?? I think I'm going to be the most popular mom in school! At least for one day! LOL

Winter Decor

Hello Crafty Friends... I'm back again with some winter home decor made using my eBrush. I chose to incorporate the word "Peace" into my decor because who couldn't use a little more peace in their life?

Supplies I used for this project:

Picture Frame (12"x5")

eBrush with SN adapter head

Spectrum Noir Markers ( TB2, TB5, IG2, IG3, TN7, & TN8)

I first started by taking the mat that came with my frame out. I then used it as a template.

I layed it on my chipboard and used a craft knife to make a shape of the exact shape and size to fit my frame. 

I then adhered my patterned paper to the chip board and again trimmed with with my craft knife. I prepared this as my background and set aside.

Next I cut my bird. For this songbird I used a Sizzix sparrow die and cut out 2 birds, one from a song sheet paper and the other from chipboard. I layered the two and glued together. Then with my Ebrush I airbrushed the bird using the SN adapter head with Spectrum Noir markers in IG2, IG3,TB2, and TB5. Then I drew highlights using my white gel pen.

I freehand cut out a branch from craft paper and then ebrushed it using Spectrum Noir markers in TN7 and TN8. Then I embossed the branch using my Teressa Collins embossing folder. I also added crystal stickles over brushed on gesso for snow.

I cut out 3 snowflakes using my Marvy Uchida jumbo snowflake punch and highlighted them using my Spectrum Noir marker in TB2.

Using my electric die cut machine I used the free font Buffalo Nickel to cut the word peace out of printed card stock. I then ebrushed it using my Spectrum Noir markers in TB2 and TB5. I also made a shadow for my word it using a charcoal gray paper and adhered both word and shadow together. Then I glued all my individual pieces onto my prepared chipboard background from earlier.

Tah-dah... Beautiful winter decor!

Ebrushed Hay Display

Hello Crafty Friends! This will be my first official post as an eBrush Design Team Member. As a busy mommy of four I need  my craft projects to be super quick & easy yet still fabulous. And, today I chose to do a stenciling technique. Stenciling allows for you to practically personalize any and everything. 

Supplies Needed:

Mini Hay Bale

Plastic Sheets/ Stencil Film

Electric Die Cutter

eBrush 

Black Sharpie Marker (or color of your choice)

Using your electric die cutter, cut a stencil using your plastic sheet. For this stencil I used a free font called Big Top.

Remove plastic packaging from your bale. Position stencil as desired. You may need double sided adhesive or spray adhesive to help keep stencil in place. If you don't have adhesive available hold stencil down firmly with one hand, 

With your eBrush and Sharpie, spray stenciled lettering onto bale. I chose a black  Sharpie because I wanted it to be bold and just pop off the bales.

When done with all the letters remove stencil and...TA-DAH... instant signage!!

This makes me "HAPPY"! Pun totally intended! 

For my complete message I chose the phrase HAPPY FALL Y'ALL... It works great for both Halloween and Thanksgiving themes and complements the rest of my holiday decor. 

Remember,you don't have to eBrush "words"... This project would look great as a monogram too!

Baby Ducky Card

Hey craft friends... took a little break for some much needed down time. And just stopping in to share a really quick and easy Baby Ducky Card.

For this card I used Designs on Cloud 9's Flutter Card for the card base

and  Baby Duck for the cute little duckies.

For the Monogrammed "B", I used the Rockwell Extra Bold font.

For a the deep tone on tone shading I used my eBrush with Spectrum Noir markers and airbrushed all my paper pieces.

Sorry no step by step instructions here. Will be working on more in depth tutorial soon and possibly video tutorial also.
