Poo Valentine

 WARNING: CRUDE HUMOR AHEAD!!
If you get easily offended please turn away right now or skip over this post!
If not, and would like a good laugh, you may proceed!

Ok, I admit I have a strange a slightly twisted sense of humor. And... I may add... I will not at all deny that I could not, for the life of me, stop laughing while I was creating this card!

I laughed while designing the sketch!
I laughed the entire time cutting it out!
I was ecstatic, elated, head over heals delighted as I was ebrushing the creases of my pile of POO!!

I was in tears of joy as I glued down my heart shaped flies and rising swirls of steam!
"Why", you ask? Because I made a card that perfectly sums up my feelings for my husband! It encompasses the very passion that sometimes is hard to express with mere words!!

Yup, nothing says it better than ... " I love the SH*T out of you"!

BAM!! THERE IT IS!

Yup nothing says it better! EXCEPT... a handmade card with an airbrushed steaming hot turd on the front!!

Cutting files used were from Designs on Cloud 9:
Warm Cocoa- for the pile-o-poop (whipped cream) and steam
&
Little Love Notes- for the scalloped and stitched rectangles

Fonts used:
KG Always A Good Time (for the word love)
&
KBbubblegum (for the rest of the wording)

Hope you enjoyed this "crap-sterpiece" !

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY TO LOOK AT MY POOP!

Gumball Machine Valentines

Guess who has been a busy bee?! This gal, right here, that's who!!
I have been swamped neck deep in gumball machines!! And I love it!!

Doing this project was like playing with toys... because let's face it... they are toys!!

I started with these gumball machines/ piggy banks I bought for $1 ea. at my local grocery store. They were pre-stuffed with gumballs... so "Yay!!" to no extra expense to fill them. I removed the manufacturer's label/tag but kept the silver elastic that the were tied to and recycled them.

I made my own tags using my Sizzix eclips machine and ecal software. For the scalloped and stitched rectangle I used a cutting file called Little Love Notes by Designs on Cloud 9.

For the cut-out text I used the free cheri font with ecal's new stencil function over the "e" and "o". I didn't want to hand place each letter because I was going to be doing quite of few of these... that's just way too much work! I opted for my machine to do all the work instead.

And, then I added a little itty bitty heart (1/4") from the ecal library to the corner of each tag.

Here's a close-up:

It's funny how just changing or adding one small thing can really dress it up!

Did I mention that these are my girl's Valentine treats for their classes?? I think I'm going to be the most popular mom in school! At least for one day! LOL

Happy Crafting Friends!!

Frogs & Pandas

You know sometimes life just doesn't want to cut you any slack. I've been crazy busy and just haven't had any time to post some of my projects. Shame on me!!

Anyhoo... Just wanted to share a few projects that I've done recently...

All these little froggies were favors and treat boxes for I made for my son's second birthday.

This little guy's belly is actually lip balm.

I got this awesome frog cut file, called Hoppy Days, from Designs on Cloud 9.  Which is also where I got this cute pillow box (Pillow Box 1) cut file from.

This eye catching card below was made with stamps from Designs on Cloud 9's sister company, Pink and Main. These adorable pandas are from their new January release called Pandamonium.

This is one of my favorite sets. Keep an eye out for the other January release!! They are ALL super cute!! I will be using them in upcoming cards real soon!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Snowone Like You Bow Card

Hello Crafty Friends... Just stopping this super Simple card I made with all those stinkin' cute bows I've been making.

You can read more about it here. While you're there don't forget to download your free template!! Then you too can make this bows anytime you need them.

For this awesome overlay  and label, I used Designs on Cloud 9's Designer Card 1.  I cut the overlay out of super shiny metallic paper. Then eBrushed an ombre effect onto the entire surface... Love it!
Now I can have custom colored metallic paper and not just the run of the mill silver & gold! And did you know you can even ebrush your rhinestones to match?! Now you'll never be without coordinating bling!!

For the sentiment, I used Pink and Main's Snow Sweet stamp set. This set includes 8 different sentiments and numerous snowflakes. I stamped it on the label that was included in the Designer Card 1 file and then surrounded it the sentiment with "snow" (iridescent flake glitter) with dimensional adhesive.  Perfect for Holiday and winter cards and projects!

It's never too early to start on your holiday card!!
So go make some now! The holidays will be here before you know it!

Happy Crafting!!

Dia del los Muertos Card

Hi Crafty Friends! After being sick with the stomach flu, which luckily I was the only one to catch, I was finally out of bed and able to have some much needed play time.

I made this Dia del los Muertos inspired card.

For this Project I used several cutting files from Designs on Cloud 9.

I airbrushed all paper pieces with my eBrush Machine which added depth to my flat roses and leaves, skull, banner, and even my background behind the spiderweb. I used the black outlines as a guide and airbrushed color where I thought the shadows would fall.

I hand drew all additional details on the skull (the scallops around the eyes, the  spider web, hearts, and all scroll work).

angled view

Added foam adhesive under skull for more dimension.

I font I used is called Black Castle MF and you can download it HERE for free.

This was a just a quick post... seeing as that I am still sick and in need of more rest.
Wish me luck with 4 kids!

Have a happy scrappy day!!

Sassy Silhouette Barbie Inspired Tags

Hello Crafty Friends! Today's project is a set of Barbie inspired gift tags. They are pretty big they are about 5.5" inches long. And will really draw attention to any gift.

For these tags I used Designs on Cloud 9's Sassy Girls Tags

Sorry, the "sassy" is not included in the file. I made it using my ecal software and a font that was already installed on my computer called Lucida Handwriting. If you have Microsoft Office then more than likely you have it installed on you computer too.

I cut all my paper pieces using my Sizzix eclips machine. But before assembling all the pieces I airbrushed them with my eBrush machine.

For the "Sassy" I ebrushed just the edges. The same as if I were to shade them with my ink daubers and ink pads. But this took only a matter of seconds instead a couple minutes. What an AWESOME time saver!!

I also airbrushed all the harlequin backgrounds for the all the tags with my eBrush machine. But this time I got some help of a stencil.

I created an SVG file for those of you who are interested. I will post the link below. All I ask is that you do not share them or claim them as your own. You may however direct other to my blog to download their own copy. Thanks for understanding.

Download the harlequin stencil for free here.

I also used my eBrush & stencil to make coordinating harlequin ribbon.

Tah-dah!! So pretty!

Assembled the base. Now to tie on the ribbon.

Super Sassy & Super Fabulous!

Here I have the rest of the set

These would be perfect on gifts for posh friends or for that avid Barbie lover in your life!

Thanks for stopping by & have a super fab day!!
