Our Favorite Things Blog Hop

One of my all time favorite things... Birthdays!! Especially because I have 4 little ones at home. With my oldest just turning 8 last weekend. They are still in the phase where they love having "themed" birthday parties. And this crafty mommy loves throwing them!

So for my hop post I chose to make this cute little birthday card using 2 KBD cutting files...

Cutie KaToodles - Beachy Turtles

and
Turtley Awesome Birthday

I used these two sets mixed together with Scrappy Moms Stamps' Party Animals stamp set...


to make this little Cutie!
The turtle itself is from the Cutie KaToodles- Beachy Turtles set and the cupcake and party hat came from the Turtley Awesome Birthday file. 



And both of these sets would go perfectly with this sentiment from Scrappy Moms!!!


I just LOVE that font!! I wish my handwriting was that fab!!! That's ok... it gives me an excuse to get more stamps!!! LOL

      Thanks Dariane! Wasn't that much work... I ebrush my pieces so shading them is a breeze! Much quicker than traditional chalking and sponging.

      OK... the eyes I'll admit were a lot of work. but the rest came together like a breeze! LOL ... I've learned it takes a really steady hand for the eye part.

    Mitsyana, I totally love this card! It's bright and cheerful, the colors are amazing. I love the shading technique, the embossed party hat and cupcake wrapper, the way you used twine.... everything! But I would love to know how your created the effect on the eyes please!
