IAR March Challenge

 Hey, Crafty Friends!!

It's that time again... time for a new CHALLENGE over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog!!

Today, I created this lovely card using lots of coral tones throughout...

I started with a 5"x7" card base made from 110 lb white cardstock. Then matted it with a 4.75" x6.75" piece of coral cardstock, followed by a 4.5 " x6.5" patterned paper from DCWV's Peri & Peach stack.

I attached my layers onto the card base using my Xyron Mega Runner.

I ran a piece of kraft cardstock and leftover coral cardstock through my Xyron Creative Station. Then die cut them both using the Tim Holtz Gothic Gate die and my Big Shot machine. Then attached the two pieces together to get a really thick die-cut.

I die-cut leaves using David Tutera Eucalyptus leaf die and blended on some Worn Lipstick  Distress Oxide Ink.

Then, I attached the leaves onto my card front using a clear drying liquid adhesive.

To build my bouquet, I twisted a couple of White Puffy Semi Rose Buds together along with a tiny Salmon Achillea Cottage Flower. I glued that over my eucalyptus leaves. 

Next, I added a White Tea Rose then two Medium Variegated Coral Red Daisies and then ended with another tiny Salmon Achillea Cottage Flower.

Finally, I used a phrase from Tim Holtz's Chit Chat Word Stickers stack that reads "the promise of all things made new" and popped it up with a bit of foam adhesive mounted on the back and placed and attached the strip across the gate.

And here is my finished card...

I love the details in I Am Roses' flowers! The creases and fold in the rose petals and the varying color tones in their variegated flowers... It's absolutely gorgeous! They look almost real!

Daisy Garden Cutie

Hello Crafty Friends!! I am loving that Spring is here and that flowers are popping up everywhere!!  Speaking about popping up everywhere… they just popped into my crafting!! Check out this adorable card I made using Pink and Main’s Daisy stamps!!

 These stamps are so cute you it takes very little effort to make an amazing card!! This little cutie packs a huge punch!! The only additional element is the embossing!

Mother's Day Cards

Sorry, for some reason this did not post yesterday... oh well, anyhoo....

Good Morning & Happy Mother's Day Crafty  Friends!!!

Today I'm sharing with you 2 Mother's Day cards. I made them for the 2 most important ladies in my life, my mother & mother-in-law. 

The first card is the card I made for my mother. And, the second is for my mother-in-law. You may notice that neither card has a sentiment on front. There are a couple reasons why I do this. 

One is because a lot of times I make cards on a whim and add them to my "stash" that I keep on hand that I can thumb through later.

Leaving them blank gives you more freedom on when & to whom you want to give them. If I labeled both these cards Happy Mother's Day then I would definitely have to give them to 

A. a mother and 

B. on Mother's Day. 

By leaving my cards blank I can expand card giving areas to (just by looking at them, based on theme) Easter, Spring, or just an everyday type card... maybe even birthday( depending when the recipient's birthday is). 

Reason two is sometimes I just like keeping the cheesy puns inside the card a surprise.

For this card I used Design on Cloud 9's Tulips file. 

I used the watering can from DC9's Garden Pixies file for this card.
