Hello Kitty Treat Can

Tomorrow is Kyan's last day of kindergarten. Man, time flies! I remember bringing her home from the hospital like it was just yesterday! Well, to show our appreciation for getting our baby on the right track we made her teacher a little something as a thank you gift...

Hope she likes it!!

I used Sizzix dies for the stars and Hello Kitty head. Martha Stewart punch for the borders. Quickutz alpha set for the lettering. And an Accucut die for the ornate shape in the middle.

Thanks for looking!

Didn't make the cut :(

Kind of bummed... I didn't get picked for the LSHD design team. I guess there was really stiff competition for this call because they assigned a  sort of challenge to help them determine their newest members. And here is my submissions...

And here is a close up

On this bear I added 3D laquer to her eyes and nose to make 'em pop and added little earrings. I love how she turned out.

And even though I didn't make the cut I still had a great time and that's what really matters. This is not at all gonna stop me from crafting.

I hope my work encourages and inspires others to be creative.
Happy Crafting Everyone!!

needs more something

It's been a long time... Where do I begin? I had another baby and now am a proud mama of 4. Baby Jordan was born the day after New Years... not quite a New Years baby but he was our town's first baby of 2013. So,yea me!! And yes, only now I'm posting about it. It has taken me a whole lot longer to get to the swing of things.

My crafting was put on the back burner till fairly recently. And, I'm glad to say, I have officially started crafting again (insert another "yea, me!" moment here)! Thanks to Little Scraps of Heaven Designs, they gave me an extra incentive to craft at full steam. I read on their Facebook page that they were looking for a couple new design team members and were holding an open call. But the thing was,I only saw it the day before all entries were due. Yikes!!!

Here is one of the project I submitted. This one I did the day of the deadline. I still feel it needs a little bit more. I think I'll be tweaking this soon.

For this layout I used the Make Em' Laugh pattern set for the clown car and girl clown and a file called Circus Seal.Which happened to be a previous freebie.

I'll be posting more creations real soon so check back often!
