You are my SUNSHINE

Hey there crafty friends...
Back again with another stinkin' cute card!! I used one of this week's freebies over at KaDoodle Bug Designs to make this uber adorable egg shaped cutie ... This is KBD's the Eggie Buddy Rooster.

I paired him with this awesome set by Pink and Main Called Sunny Days. I used the sunburst, clouds, and sentiment/ words from this set. The ornate frame is also from Pink and Main... it's is from their Super Mom set.

And, you know I have to eBrush my paper pieces!!!
Here's a pic of what it look like with and without shading with my eBrush!
 A-MAZ-ING... Right??!!

Sometimes just the smallest details have a huge impact! Look at the difference just chalking some cheeks onto these little guys makes!

This card is not short of dimension!
I mounted almost everything with foam adhesive! And, if that wasn't enough... I added just a little bit of embossing to my "grass"!

This card just shouts "Spring" and bright skies!!
I don't know about you but I can use some sunshine and do away with gloomy with gloomy skies. Bring on the grass and flowers already!!

Well, I guess I can muscle my way through a little more winter...at least it makes for great crafting weather!

Zoom-Zoom scooter card

Hello Crafty Friends... Mitsy here with more inspirational goodness!! I created this adorable card using stamps from our wonderrful sponsor, Pink & Main!! And pairing it with the versatility of my awesome eBrush!!

Supplies Needed
an eBrush (of course)

Pink and Main's Chevys and On the Go stamp sets

Additional Supplies
White, Pink, Lavender Cardstock
Tsukineko's Momento Ink Pad (Tuxedo Black)
Spectrum Noir Markers (CT2, GB5, IG1, IG3, IG4, HB2, HB3, PP1,PP2)
Acrylic Block
Blue Painter's Tape
Martha Stewart Border Punch (Ribbon Loop)
Foam Adhesive
Double-sided Adhesive

I started off by using my chevrons from Pink and Main's Chevys set, lining them up on an acrylic block and stamping it onto plain white cardstock with my Momento Tuxedo Black ink... this is important... because I'm going to be using alcohol ink based markers I don't want my stamped image to run or bleed.

The Chevys set includes patterned inserts for each chevron and because they are clear stamps, alignment is a breeze!

Then, I used one of my sentiment stamps, included in the  set, as a border stamp.

And here is where my eBrushing comes in...

Exposing just the chevrons, I taped of the surrounding areas. I used Spectrum Noirs in PP1 and PP2. Remember I used plain white cardstock for the base and if I were to just color the chevrons they would have bled through the lines. By eBrushing it, it dries on contact. The results... the color blending of alcohol markers with out the dry time or the extra cost of buying the more expensive specialty paper.

I then made a border edge using my MS Ribbon Loop Punch out of lavender cardstock. I eBrushed the edges for depth. I don't know about you , but have you ever tried inking delicate edged paper? Not only can you NOT get into all those teeny tiny crevices but if you do attempt it you end up mangling the pieces and maybe even ripping them off ( like I do) and end up trashing it and wasting your paper. Not fun at all... makes me pretty upset actually.

But with the eBrush I have no problem with those "itty-bitties" and even inverted corners are a breeze!!

Finally, I stamped this cute little scooter form the On the Go set and colored in using my Spectrum Noirs in (CT2, GB5, IG1, IG3, IG4, HB2, and HB3). With this image I didn't have to worry if my color went outside of the lines because I was going to cut it out any way.

Here is the finished card!

And I made my sentiment on the inside match the front of the card just bey adding more eBrushed borders!! How stinkin' cute is that?!!

Hope you all enjoyed my project for today! Come back and visit us soon!

LOVE, not just for Valentine's Day

Hello Crafty Friends...
I know Valentine's day has passed but it shouldn't be the only reason to give someone some "LOVE". Sometimes sending friends and family a love themed card can tell them " hey, I'm just thinking of you" or "thanks, I really appreciate you". And, today's card does just that. I made a simple just because card... because it's nice to send some "love" to brighten someone's day!
sweet
For this card I used Pink and Main's " Sweet on You" set for the cupcake, bon-bons, strawberry, and flag... and the "Sweet" is from the " Little One" set. These two sets work very well interchangeably as the flag and label shapes are pretty close in size.

 To color my stamped images I used Spectrum Noir Markers in colors P3, P5, DR3, DR5, DR7, GB2, GB8, TN7, and TN8.

Additional Supplies:
EK Success Scalloped Scallop Punch
Canson 150 lb. Illustration Paper
Momento Ink Pad by Tsukineko (Tuxedo Black)
Patterned Paper by
Craft Smith (Typecraft)
and  DCWV (Sky's The Limit)

Hope you send someone some LOVE today!!
Happy Crafting!!

Wishin' for Spring

Hi Crafty Friends... I know a lot of you can't wait or Spring to get here. I have friends who had to dig their way out of their house because there was just so much snow. I'm very lucky to not have that here! And, though the weather is erratic I still find myself very fortunate to be able to have warm sunny days from time to time.

So for all those friends that are sick of snow, this one is for you!!

For this card I used the KaDoodle Bug Designs cutting file called Easter Spring Kit. This set comes the ornate shape, stitched label, bunny, spring flowers, a bee, Easter eggs, and Easter title. The ornate heart is from the ecal library. And "hello" stamp is from Pink and Main's Sunny Days stamp set. Perfect for those sun shiny days I'm wishing for!

Easter Spring Kit

This set has a few very small pieces and usually would be hard to shade. That is why I love ebrushing my paper pieces. I can color  and shade pieces that I can't do with a sponge or a dauber.

I think I need me more spring-y projects... maybe all this wishing and hoping and praying will actually bring some sunshine... fingers crossed for all the poor souls buried under snow. Well, one thing is for sure... It does make for great crafting weather!

Hope you all are staying warm!

Happy Crafting!

Pink and Main, eBrush, and a whole lot of BLING!!

Hello Crafty Friends... For today's project I mixed 3 of my favorite crafting things... stamping, ebrushing, and a whole lot of bling!!!

Our wonderful sponsor, Pink and Main, have the most darling stamps... EVER!!
And when I saw this little cute I just knew I had to bring on the bling!! And, I also knew I could make my own awesome "blinged" embellishments to do it too!!

Supplies used
Pink and Main's Party Girl Set
Craftwell's eBrush
Spectrum Noir Markers (CG1, CG2, DG2, DG3, CT2, GB5, OR1,LV2,PL2,PL4, FS1, FS3, GB8,TN7,GB10,GBR1)
Momento Ink Pad -Tuxedo Black
DCWV Adhesive Jeweled Sheet
Ranger White Opaque Pen
Sakura Gelly Roll Pen- Stardust- Clear
Faber-Castell PITT artist pen- XS
Sizzix Steel Rule Dies (photo corners)
Sizzix Sizzlits (ribbons)
Sharpies ( yellow, orange)
Personal Die Cut Machine
Scotch Adhesive Tape
Cardstock
Patterned Paper/ Cardstock
Watercolor Paper

I first stamped my image on watercolor paper using  my Momento ink pad in Tuxedo Black.
Then colored my image in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I added eyelashes to my little girl with my Faber-castell PITT pen and added highlight to my colored image with my gelly roll pen and my white opaque pen.

Then I die cute 4 photo corners out of my bling (adhesive jeweled sheet) and ebrushed them with my Spectrum Noir Markers in LV2 and PL4 & DG2 and DG3. Then mounted them onto black cardstock.
I also hand cut a fluer de lis shape out of more bling.  I wanted it to be two-toned so I ebrushed in yellow and orange and also backed it with black cardstock.

Then I cut die cut strip from my Ribbons Sizzlit die out of purple, yellow, and green carstock. I ebrushed half the strips in the coordinating Spectrum Noir markers.

Then I assembled all my pieces to create my Mardi Gras themed card!!

and tah-dah...

Very bright and festive!!

I loved being able to make my own "blinged" embellishments so much I  did another card with more ebrushed bling!

Check out this other cutie from Pink and Main... this one is from the Pretty Princess set.

I paired this little princess with a cute little buttoned shabbie, and a pretty pink blinged frame and purple feather ( which both were also ebrushed)!

CUTENESS!!

I love it! I hope you did too!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy BLING crafting!!

Tweet Friend

Hello Crafty Friends… I can’t wait for Spring to be here and the warm weather to come back! I really shouldn’t complain, at least I’m not buried under snow, right?! I mean, I live in Texas. And it was 80 degrees here on Saturday. Now, it isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be… our weather is rather erratic and has a hard time making up it’s mind.  We went from 80’s on Saturday to 30’s tonight… and the 50 degree jump is the norm. I still can’t get used to it. I came from an Island where the temperature between hottest and coldest never staggered more than 20 degrees from each other.
But being so far away from home all I can do now is imagine… dreaming of warmer days and not so cold nights.
Here I used Pink and Main’s Tweet Friend set to make this cute little card. This little set is great for Spring and Easter projects and can easily transition into  summer! This is a great everyday set and is awesome for all those “just because” moments!

U R Dino-mite

Hello again crafty friends!!! I hope you didn't forget that Valentine's Day is TOMORROW!! But just in case you did... I'm back again with a very last minute Valentine's Day card!

The cutting file I used to make this adorable dino is from KaDoodlebug Designs called
Cute Little Dino! But, bad news, if you are planning on buying this file you better hurry because KaDoodlebug Designs will be retiring this set (as well as others) as of February 15th, 2015... but wait, there is good news too... ALL RETIRING FILES ARE 90% OFF!!

And, right now they are having a Valentine's Day Sale... now till Monday the 15th. So, hurry and snatch them up before they're gone!

And it really does make cute little dinos! This little guy is just one of 4 different dinos that come in the set. It includes a t-rex, triceratops, brontosaurus, and of course stegosaurus!!! Plus a few extras to boot!!

These hearts and title were not included in the set. I got the hearts from the Sizzix eclips ecal library.
And these awesome fonts I used are fonts I had on my computer. The first one is called Cafe Rojo
and the other is called Jokerman. Both are available to download for FREE!

Hope you enjoyed my last minute V-Day card!!
And hope your V-Day is filled with lots of Love
or
CRAFTING (which is pretty much the same thing, right?)!!

My Heart Melts...

Hello Crafty Friends... I'm so HAPPY to share some exciting news... I am the newest Design Team Member over at KaDoodlebug Designs!!! Yay!!

And for my first Design Team project I chose to make a card featuring this utterly sweet ice cream sundae from the "Yummy Treats" file set!!  I thought would be perfect to make, yet again, another Vlaentines Day card.

I ebrushed all the paper pieces before assembling them. Then I added highlights with a white gel pen. The results were simply amazing. There is just so much depth!  I paired it with a group of pennants (which were also ebrushed) and topped it with a bow.

I can't wait to play with more cutting files from KaDoodlebug! This set is retiring very soon (Feb 15th) so if I were you I would snatch it up quick because once it gone, it's gone!! While you are there check out all the other retiring files too, they are marked down up 90% off!!! And, I forgot to mention, on top of all those deep discounts they are also having a
HUGE VALENTINE'S DAY SALE!!

How AWESOME is that?!!

So hurry quick before you miss all these great deals!!

Hope you have a very crafty day!!

~ Mitsy
