Hi Crafty Friends... I have some "sweet" inspiration for you today!! No tutorial, sorry! :( But thi is a sweet treat nonetheless!
Today I want to show you a card I made using KaDoodle Bug Designs Charmkin Cuties Boy Monster.
You can purchase this file by clicking on the link below.
I also used the following Supplies:
Ebrush (Craftwell)
Spectrum Noir Markers (FS5, FS9, GB7, HB2, IB2, BT4, CR6)
Stephanie Barnard's Card, Royal Stand-Ups
Stephanie Barnard's Card, Elegant Stand-ups
Cardstock- White, Black, Teal, Pink (Bazzill Basics)
Color Chaos- Peep Strandz (Bella Blvd)
A Shore Thing- Penguin Paradise (Imaginisce)
White Opaque Marker- Snow (Recollections)
PITT Artist Pens- XS, M, B (Faber-Castell)
Chalklets (EK Success)
3D Dots (Ek Success)
Organza Ribbon- Teal (Paper Mart)
And here is my finished card:
This little guy started out as plain white cardstock. For his skin-tone I ebrushed him using Spectrum Noir in FS5 & FS9. For his monster body and top part of his head I used IB2 & BT4. I also ebrushed IB2 for the irises of his eyes. His hair was done in GB7, and his horns I used CR6 & HB2.
I alsoebrushed the sentiment at the bottom of the card. I used BT3 over Teal cardstock and CR6 over pink cardstock.
I stayed with the color throughout the card... the roll of candy was done in HB2, CR6, and GB7. But these were NOT ebrushed... instead I simply colored them in.
Side View
The card base and panels were made using Stephanie Barnard's die set by Sizzix called Card, Royal Stand-Ups. I also used the ornate border and the words "you " and "are" from this set. The word "sweet" can from the Elegant Stand-Ups set, also made by Stephanie Barnard/ Sizzix.
One of the great things about these sets is the fact that tall the words also come with a shadow die! Another thing to notice is that they also use the same font so mixing and matching to make customized phrases is effortless.
Close Up- Eyes
I did all details by hand. Eye-lashes and mouth were done using my PITT Artist Pens. And all highlights were done using My White Opaque Marker.
Close Up - Sentiment
I hope you enjoyed today's inspirational project!!
Until next time...
Happy Crafting!!
