Sneak Peak with Pink and Main

Supplies Used
Florals Stamp Set ( Pink and Main, August Release)
eBrush (Craftwell)
Paper (DCWV-  Project Stack Stencils)
Mega Runner (Xyron)
Edgeabilities- Classic Petal (Spellbinders)
Spectrum Noir Markers- LG2, LG3, LG4, GB6
Gold Embossing Powder (Hero Arts)
Paper Hydrangeas (Prima Marketing)
Paper Roses (unknown brand)
Stamens (Wilton)
VersaMark Ink Pad
Heat tool
Heart shaped brads
Diamond Glaze (Judikins)

I started by ebrushing one side of my paper with my Spectrum Noir Markers in LG2, LG3, and LG4. Then I used my stem/ leaves  and my sentiment from my Pink and Main Floral set and stamped it onto my paper using my VersaMark ink pad. I dusted it with gold embossing powder and heat embossed it with my heat gun.

I ran my piece through my die cut machine with my border from the Classic Petal set to make the decorative edge.

I took the remaining cut off piece and ebrushed the decorative edged side only, again in LG2, LG3, and LG4 and set aside.

I gessoed some paper roses and then ebrushed them with more LG2 and LG3. I adhered all my flowers onto my cardstock using liquid adhesive but before it set I stamens under my flowers.

Once my adhesive was dry I used my Xyron Mega Runner to adhere my decorative strips together. giving about a one inch gap between the decorative edges. I adhered it to my A2 sized card base I made using papers from DCWV's stencil stack. Can you believe even the craft cardstock was in this awesome stack!!

And here is my finished card!!

Hope you enjoyed this super quick tutorial!

See you all next time!!
Happy Crafting!!

TAGS!!!

Hello Crafty Friends...

Just popping in to share a couple of t"tag" projects I recently made.

This firston is a submission I did for KaDoodle Bugs "Tag" Challenge.
For this my tag/ card hybrid I used KBD's new Eggie Buddies Dragon!! Isn't he adorable?!! You can find this as well as all the other Eggie Buddies here

I also used Virginia Turtle's "Does This Taste Funny" stamp set  for the "thanks a bunch" sentiment.

And, of course I just had to shade my paper piecing with my ebrush!! That was a no brainer!!

I ebrushed my dragon using Spectrum Noir Markers in LG1, LG2, DG2, & DG3,

Additional Supplies Used
Patterned Paper by Craft Smith
Cardstock (brown, red, white, black, craft)
Momento ink pad (Tuxedo Black)

Here is another Tag I made... not as huge as the other one but very pretty! And it gives you a sneak peek at one of the new stamp set that will be coming to Pink and Main this month!!

This butterfly  and "dream" are both from P & M's new "Inspire" set! I love this set!! It is filled with different types of butterflies and inspiring words to match like "create", "dream", and "inspire"!

I stamped my butterfly image and hand cut it and added adhesive pearls for the body. I ebrushed the edges and pearls with a brown sharpie to add a little more dimension.

I also used a couple of  borders from Pink and Main's "Bubbly Borders" set to accent my tag and distressed around the edges to give it a more worn look.

Hey Crafty Friends... Just wanted to share with everyone a birthday card I mad for a very Special Lady. I had to wait till she received it to post it here.

This was the first non- DT project I've done in a long, long, looooong time. I love my design team creations but I love this project even more because it was for someone special! Michelle Currie Happy Birthday!!

This card incorporated several techniques... masking, airbrushing, stenciling, and coloring... all with my Spectrum Noir markers over glossy cardstock.

Just wanted to show the card in different angles to see the shine.

Another view, up close.

I really hope she enjoyed her card and her birthday!!

That's all for now!

Thanksgiving Layout - Turkey Time

Hello Crafty Friends... Now that Halloween is over and we are officially in November I thought I'd do a little Thanksgiving crafting. Here is my very first Thanksgiving layout... ever!!

All cutting files used are from Designs on Cloud 9.

I used DC9's Thanksgiving 1 for the turkeys & their outfits.

For the 12 inch vertical borders I used Betsy's Borders. Instead of cutting out 2 pieces, I welded 2 borders to a 4.5" x 12" rectangle so it would cut out as on piece. This eliminated me having to make sure that the pieces were adhered straight.

Love this font... It's a free font called Cafe Rojo.

I used the pilgrim clothes on the Thanksgiving 1 file to dress up the turkeys.

The flourishes are from Floral Flourishes.

I also enlarged the turkeys eyes. These eyes were not original to the file.

All the pumpkins are from a retired set called Pumpkin Fun.

The leaves were made using the Fall Flourish Cards. I only used the card fronts and gave them a 2 pt shadow.

For the scalloped border on the photo mat I used Photo Mat Fun.

And There you have it my very first... ever... Thanksgiving layout! I hoped you all enjoyed it as much as I did making it!

Happy Crafting Everyone!

My Little Cuppycake

Sorry for the late post, frtiends! Everything here has been CRAY-CRAY!! I hit the back to school rush! And, I'm not even done with the school shopping! I'm too afraid to shop this weekend... it's the "tax-free" weekend sale and everyone, and their grandmother, are gonna be in the stores trying to save their $0.08 on the dollar. Still contimplating... Leave that head ache alone or risk it and take advantage of all the sales & save on tax??... hmmm, it's still up for debate.

Well, anyhoo... here's another lonely project of the week. I call this " My  Little Cuppycake".

I used Design on Cloud 9's Latte Bears for the bears and Cupcake Fairies for the cupcakes. I also used DC9's new Ribbon Borders set along the top and bottom of the center border as a trim.

Close-Ups

I only used one of the bears from the latte bears file set to make all the bears. I just switch the direction of which way the different limbs were facing to change the look of the bear.

I absolutely love love love the new Ribbon Borders. Especially the scalloped one... it adds a really feminine touch to just about everything.

I embossed all the bottoms with Cuttlebug's Distressed Stripes embossing folder.

Then I chalked over the raised image to make it more pronounced.

I put a flower on each of the bears ears to make them a little more "girly". Just in case you missed their eyelashes & bright pink cheeks.

Here's a good example of how you could change the look of your bears just by moving the arms and legs into different positions. I also put two flowers on her because I had an odd number of bears on this layout and wanted her to be a little different.

Not one of the bears is in the same position.

Each page has two photo mats.

Well, that's my easy-peasy project for the week.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Crafting!

Alice In Wonderland - Tea Time

Gonna make this quick. This mommy's gotta run & I know this is super late. But here is my latest in Wonderland layouts and this time it's a double. All files are from Designs on Cloud 9.

I used the following files to make this spread: Wonderland Cuties ( Alice, Mad Hatter, & Cheshire Cat) , Time for Tea ( Tea Pot,Cups, Saucers, Spoon, & Lemon Slices), Pipsqueak (Ratter), Suri's Sweet Treats ( Cookies), Background- Diamonds (Center Diamond Strip), Betsy's Borders ( Scalloped Borders), Laurie's Labels ( Background Shape), Boy Bunny(March Hare), & Magic Show (March Hare's Top Hat).

Tea Drops are from the shape library of y ecal software.

Sugar cubes are the rounded square that also came from the ecal shape library.

Here's closer looks at the drops of tea & sugar cubes.

Boy Bunny makes an super cute Mad Hatter topped him off with the top hat from the Magic Show set.

Used a mouse from the Pipsqueak file to make this adorable peeker.

I used multiple Sizzix ebossing on the tea cups and tea pot for this look.

Well, friends...I gotta run! Craft with you later!! Check back soon!

Alice In Wonderland - Drink Me

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!

It's that time again... time to reveal my latest in Wonderland creations!!

Let's not beat around the bush!
HERE IT IS:
All file used to make this layout were from Designs On Cloud 9.

Close-Ups
I used Wonderland Cuties to make this adorable Alice.

I've been practicing my eyelashes and ,let me tell you, adding the eyelashes makes a huge difference! I also added detail lines to her hair-bow, hairline, and cheeks.

Layered her with adhesive foam between her hair layers and under her head for more added dimension.

The bottle is from DC9's Bottles file.

I added three layers of adhesive foam under the bottle just to make it even with Alice... that's how much dimension is this paper piecing... a whole heap!!

The key & gears are from the Doo Dads1 file. And for the pocket watches I again used Wonderland Cuties... it's the White Rabbit's pocket watch.

For the border on the photo mat I used Photo Mat Fun. I love this file... it also makes a great page border!

Believe it or not, I used the same file to make the border and mat (Background-Diamonds). The mat measure 4"x6" and the border is 3"x11.5" (uncheck the keep proportions box to get this stretched argyle effect).

And last but not least... I used DC9's Gnome file to make the door... just the door not the hinges or keyhole. You can find those also in the Doo Dads 1 File. But sorry guys, sadly the Gnomes file has been retired! :(
Maybe if Michelle gets enough requests she might bring it back... maybe... don't quote me on that!

So there ya go... yeah, it took SIX files to make this one... but sooooooo worth it! I love how it came out!

Recap on the files used:
Design on Coud 9's Wonderland Cuties, Bottles, Doo Dads 1, Photo Mat Fun, Background- Diamonds, & Gnomes(retired)

Oh no I almost forgot... FREEBIE FRIDAY!
&
DC9's new files of the week!

Here they are:
FREEBIE
This one is called Greeting Bubbles.

And here are this weeks new files... sorry, these are not free. :(
LOVE IT!!

Check back here real soon... Got more Wonderland layouts I' gonna dish out... plus other paper piecing creations for your viewing pleasure!

Happy Crafting my friends!!
