Wish Big- Monster Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm sharing a cute monster birthday card today using my Sizzix eclips machine , ecal software, & Designs on Cloud 9's Monster Birthday file set. My daughter will be turning 7 and I thought this would make a cute card for her. Did you know, monsters don't only have to be for boys?! Change the colors of the monsters or add a bow and presto... instant girl monster! I chose this particular monster because I loved how it has it's arms stretched WIDE open like giving a big hug. And I just adore those cute little bucky teeth!

I was asked if the sentiment was a part of a cut file and sorry to say that it is not. I made the sentiment from a font I already owned on my compuer. The font I used is called Independence  and  it is available to download for free if you don't already have it.

I just love balloons... and what better way to top it off than with twine. I'm so glad that a lot of craft companies started making baker's twine in more colors than the classic red. There's something about this silly string that just makes me happy!!

And, speaking of happy... another one of my favorite things that is guaranteed to put a smile on my face...cupcakes!  I just had to include cupcakes all over. I just couldn't stop at a couple of cupcakes! Nope, I had to plaster cupcakes all over the background!! I embossed it with the 5x7 cupcake folder from Cuttlebug's Once Upon a Princess set.

I hope this card puts a bigger smile on my daughter's face than it did on mine!

Happy Crafting Friends!

All digital files and svgs are cut using my Sizzix eclips machine & ecal software.

Halloween Layout - Peek-a-boo

Hello again friends!

Here's a layout I made to kick off the holiday season...

Halloween is my all time favorite holiday and which made this so much more fun to make.

I used the following files for this one (you may need to write this down):
From Designs on Cloud 9 I used Monster Peekers for the witch, Frankenstein, bride of Frankenstein, & all the skulls. Spells for the stack of books, frog, & crystal ball. Bottles for the apothecary bottles. Cemetery Silhouettes for the bats.  Creepy Silhouettes for the spiders & cobwebs. Haunted House Silhouettes for the cobwebs made to be photo corners. Bubble Title for the cauldron. And Boo-tiful Borders for the cobweb borders (sorry guys, this one is retired).

Then I switched out all the character's faces... I used a file from Treasure Box Designs.

Close-Ups

I really love this border turned out!

She became my favorite character with her purple eyes.

This piece took quite a bit of time to put together. I didn't have any stamps that would work for labels for the bottles... so I handrew all them... not bad... actually kinda cute if you ask me!

First I cut the bottle out with black cardstock. Then, I wanted the bottles to look like the old dark tinted apothecary bottles so I used Opalite ink pads by Tsukeniko. These pads are made specifically to show up on dark paper and are labeled "The Reflective Interference Ink".

I used the following colors on this project: Orchid Ice (purple),Golden Mist (yellow/gold), & Winter Rust (orange).

I used Black Castle MF font for the date and title.

I love love love the way her eye lashes came out!!

When I saw these cobwebs I thought they would make awesome photo corners... turns out I was right!

Even though this little guy doesn't have eye lashes he came out uber cute!! but I did hand draw his eye brows & teeny tiny mouth. Dunno... It's something about the green skin color that makes everything just pop!!

This layout has become my new favorite!

Hope you all enjoyed it!

Alice In Wonderland - Queen & Rabbit

Happy Friday!

It's that time again... and I am so looking forward to the weekend! My week has been so crazy that I was only able to squeeze one layout out. My baby boys are having it rough... my 6 mos. old is teething bad and extra fussy and clingy, & my 2 yr old is potty training ( lots of clean ups... thank God none were #2)!! My sis-in-law was rushed to the ER(come to find out she had gall stones & had to have surgery) and I had her 2 yr old and 5 yr old over... but only for a day they left later that evening. But then, my 4 yr old mini me, catches a bug which she generously just gave the potty training 2 yr old. It's been a rough ,rough, rough, week!!

On top of all this, after constant nags and prods to sell my creations, I finally gave in. I am now a new member of the Touch Of Class Group (TOCG) selling group on ebay. Yay!!

These ladies are super talented! I'm lucky to be a part of such gifted individuals!
If you have time or are interested in purchasing any of my designs message me or check us out on ebay. (Search for TOCG)

Anywho... Now, down to the nitty-gritty...I started with this one because I thought that this was going to be the easiest out 4 layouts I designed. That was, until I ran out of black cardstock!! Yikes!! You never know how important black (or white) paper is until you run out! So, here is my one lonely project of the week, as featured in Design on Cloud 9's weekly newsletter.

This layout is just the start of a collection of Wonderland layouts I'll be making. Enjoy!

For this layout I used DC9's new Wonderland Cuties for the queen of hearts and white rabbit. And Pretty Roses file for those awesome roses. For the playing cards I used the rounded rectangle in my eclip's ecal software in the "my shapes" section under basic shapes. The card suits can be found under the game section of the library.
